Andrew Schmutzer

Guest preacher Dr. Andrew J. Schmutzer (PhD, Trinity International University) is Professor of Biblical Studies at Moody Bible Institute, where he has served on the faculty since 1998. He is a specialist in the Pentateuch, Psalms, and Biblical Theology, with a particular research focus on the theology of suffering, lament, and the redemptive response to trauma and sexual abuse. Dr. Schmutzer has authored or edited numerous significant works, including Be Fruitful and Multiply (Wipf & Stock), Between Pain and Grace: A Biblical Theology of Suffering (Moody Publishers), and Divine Suffering: Theology, History, and Church Mission (Pickwick).
